Two Months!

I cannot believe it's been two months since my last post!! Where did all that time go? We've celebrated St. Patrick's Day, Easter, May Day and two birthdays. Now Mother's Day is right on my tail. I just sent my cards out today. I hope they make it in time.

I have a friend who emailed me wanting to know why I haven't helped her with some inspiration for Mother's Day projects. Well Lyn here are my cards but that's as good as it's going to get honey. I didn't make anything special except for the cards. I used my Big Shot (which I love!) and made four quick cards this morning.

As you've noticed, stamping has taken a back seat lately. After 6 years of holding workshops, stamp camps and card making classes this "job" has become a bit of a chore. I'd stopped stamping just for the fun of it. I needed and still need a break. I've poured my energy into other interests and I think....that's ok. I'm sure I'll rev up again and when I do you'll all have invitations to come back and stamp with me. In the meantime keep stamping, take pictures and email me your projects. I'll even post them on my blog! It might even get me inspired to go back into my stamp room!!

Inspiration book

I've seen many people make inspiration books and I kept meaning to make one for myself. I'm always searching for a layout that inspires me. I usually draw them on sticky notes and then they get lost, thrown away or end up in my pile of papers in my stamp room. There is no ispiration for me in a pile of papers! Well, finally I decided to gather as many as I could find and put them all in one place.

Happy Valentines Day!

I made these little pouches filled with Dove chocolates for Em and Ethan's teachers. It was so hard not to eat all those yummy chocolates myself. I limited myself to only three of them!

The cello bags with the Top Note Die were made for all the neighborhood children. I love how the die is the perfect size for the small cello bag. It makes it so easy peasy to make quick little treat bags for any occasion.

A Very Merry Christmas to you

Merry Christmas to you all. I'm with family in California and enjoying every minute of it. The weather could be better and it usually is but my time with my family is so precious I don't care what temperature it is.

We'll just bundle up, stay inside and just be together.

2 days until Christmas

Here are the masculine gift card holders I made. I just love the way these turned out. The ribbon I used is only available in the current mini. It is so versatile it can be used for masculine cards or Christmas cards. I better get me some more!

3 days until Christmas

I made a ton of gift card holders this year. Here are some for the ladies in my life. Tomorrow I'll show you what I did for the men. Basically I took a 41/4 x 11 piece of cardstock, scored it at 2 inches, used my word window punch to make a slot and used sticky strip to hold the pocket down. I then folded the card in half and decorated the front. The snowflakes are from our new die cuts. I love having these delicate snow flakes handy anytime I need them and in any color too. I used shimmer paper for these.

4 days until Christmas

Here are some of the teacher gifts we gave out this year. These are mini pizza boxes and they were filled with small candy canes and a note of thanks. Just something simple with a Christmas wish. I made 10 of these for the art, PE, music and computer teachers who have my two children. We got a lot of frowns when they read that they couldn't open the boxes until Christmas. Too funny!
